Be sure to make the list realistic so that it can be achieved. Prioritize the most essential task that you need to do so you can successfully achieve your goals for the day.

If you have your own bedroom you might want to use this as your study space, although you may not want to study in a room that you ordinarily use for rest and relaxation. If you share a bedroom with a sibling it is not a good idea to try to study in your bedroom as it would be too easy to be distracted. A room away from the television and other such interruptions is ideal. If you have a spare room, even an attic or garage space, you could convert an area to suit your needs. Make sure that the space can fit a desk, a chair and has connections for your computer and the internet.

Almost all Bible study guides will tell you to reflect upon your life in the light of the passage read. In my experience this method does not really lead you to the full benefit of a Bible study. It will get you stuck thinking about your life, eventually forgetting about Jesus.

When you see God face to face while you are still on earth, you get the full benefit of Bible study because you are going to possess God himself. There is nothing greater than God. There is a sense in which you can say that your joy and happiness are full. That is why I call this full benefit.

When reading a novel or some non-fiction work, the usual process is to read part of the book and then put it down, maybe to be reread at a later date. But reading a textbook is not done that way. When reading a textbook, a student should have a place to write down both notes and questions. Textbooks are very structured, and that structure should be used by the student to create a set of notes. These notes form the foundation of the student’s participation in class.

Set attainable and realistic goals. For instance, if you are studying so that you can attain a certain grade, it should not be very far from your current grade. Setting attainable goals increases your confidence and this will motivate you to set even higher goals in future. On the other hand, setting unattainable and unrealistic goals will make you feel like a loser and this might end up discouraging you from studying. Once you develop good study habits, you will realize an improvement in your grades and this will encourage you to study better and more efficiently.
